The movie heartthrob, 22, is invited to glamorous A-list parties all the time, but he says he usually shuns the offers as he doesn’t enjoy the hedonistic atmosphere of nightclubs.
Zac met his girlfriend of five years Vanessa Hudgens when they were starring together in the smash-hit High School Musical franchise, and he says escaping to the countryside with her and their friends is his favourite thing to do.
“I just don’t have fun at clubs. I don’t know how people do that stuff. It’s a bunch of people you don’t know, a lot of intoxicated people running around that are sort of obnoxious or want something from you.
“Me and my friends, we all have girlfriends so we do couples’ stuff – like we all went camping, us and our girls,” revealed the star.
Zac says he has a close-knit group of friends, consisting of Vanessa, three of his male friends, and their partners.
The nature-loving crew enjoy getting back to basics and using their survival skills to find food and water.
“There were six of us, three buddies and three girlfriends, and we went out to the middle of nowhere, to this small campground with no running water, trying to catch food,” recalled the actor of his most recent escapade in the countryside.
Starting off her September with a bang (literally) Vanessa was spotted out and about as she left a yoga class in Studio City on Wednesday [01.09.10]. She hid her face as she was seen walking back to her car.
Vanessa was then spotted grabbing some groceries in Studio City, keeping it casual as she showed off her own amazing style as she checked her iPhone for texts and calls.
Not staying relaxed for long, Vanessa was spotted reversing into another car as she tried to exit the grocery store’s car park. We’re guessing this is because she was under stress from the paparazzi, as she stayed in her car to talk to the other driver as they exchanged insurance details and parted ways.
Vanessa was spotted driving around Toluca Lake on Tuesday. She was drinking and slurping on her milkshake as she sat in her car [30.08.10]
